What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of a rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry. I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world
O yeah...

Some advice from techno-optimists:
This video on the left is by Lester Brown - a super-optimist - trying to raise awareness with children who may set policies for a better world, in 40 to 50 years time, once they're adults and have risen to the ranks of power in business and administration.

Some recommended, reliably excellent optimists:
  • UNEP - "Growth will enhance environmental quality"
  • WTO - "Free trade will enhance sustainable growth for the poor"
  • OECD - "Sustainable Growth for Sustaibale Jobs"
  • ICTSD - "More Growth for a Better Climate"
  • WBCSD - "Our Vision 2050 for 9 Billion Consumers"
  • CUTS - "We want to foster inclusive growth policies"
  • UNCTAD - "United Nations Conference on Trade and Development"

Humanity 'must do more with less,' panel warns
    Under sustainable development...
NOTE: Recommendations are taken at face value, on the basis of press releases, media articles, and sometimes so-called "Executive Summaries". Because this is the information that makes the opinion of the (democratic) majorities. The detailed reports are far less important.
